In the spring of 1992, we came to your shelter looking for a new dog. Our two daughters were 8 and 2 at the time. While at your facility we found a litter of 3 month old Blue Heeler/Border Collie cross puppies that had been found on the side of the road. We took our time picking thru the puppies and finally decided on one. The girls decided her name should be Brooke, because Garth Brooks was their favorite singer at the time. 13 years later, Brooke is still very much a part of our family. She learned to herd livestock, ride in the back of the pickup, obedience basics, and not to beg while we ate. She lives in the house, but prefers to be outside most of the time. Brooke is slowing down these days and we will all be very sad when the day comes that she is no longer with us. Thank you so much for helping us in our quest to find a family addition 13 years ago. When the time comes to look again, I'm sure we'll be back. Thanks for all you do!
