TASHA
|
Hello,
I wanted to send an email updating you on how our girls are doing. My husband and I came to the shelter January 9, 2009, because our great dane that we had rescued had passed away at the age of 11. A staff member asked if we wanted to walk through the shelter to see the dogs, we were hesitant to do so but did. In the first group of kennels we went through, I saw Tasha a 4 yr old Rottweiler laying in her kennel. I was drawn immediately to her, she was absolutely beautiful. We met her more in one of the meeting rooms. My husband was aprehensive about adopting a rottweiler so we went home and researched the breed. The next day my husband brought our 10 yr old beagle down to meet Tasha and brought Tasha home with us. She fit in right away and has become a major part of our lives. She is such a great dog, gentle and calm, and is wonderful with people and animals. Then in October at the outreach at the mall my husband and I stopped by and he was immediately attracted to Bagel, a 6 yr old beagle. We were a bit worried about adding another beagle to our family and thought about it. I was working that day at the mall and my husband and I decided that we wanted to add her to our family. So that day when I went home I brought Bagel with. She was scared at first by the rottie but took to our other female beagle (Bailey) right away. It has been just over a month since we brought her home and she has found her spot in our hearts and home forever. This is the most recent picture of the family from Paws n Claus. The beagle on the far left is Bagel, then Tasha the rottie, then Bailey is on my lap. Thier human parents are Alicia and Tim. This feathered brother is Peaches, a goffin cockatoo. I want to thank the humane society for providing our family with two wonderful dogs. All of our animals are rescues and we plan on continuing to adopt pets down the road.
