SUMMARY:Repeal the Pit Bull ban in Sioux City!
DESCRIPTION:***UPDATE***\nThe Council’s third consideration of the pit bull ban scheduled for Monday\, Nov. 4th has been delayed.  The City Manager’s Office said the final vote will be made after the animal control chapters of the City Code have been reviewed and revised. The first reading regarding revision of the animal control chapters will be heard at Monday’s council meeting. We are still asking people to attend Monday’s meeting and to continue emailing the city council in favor of repealing the ban. \nRepeal the pit bull ban in Sioux City! The Sioux City Council has passed the second reading to repeal the pit bull ban. We have one more reading to go to get the ban lifted. The Siouxland Humane Society supports lifting the ban but we need your help in getting it repealed. If you are in favor of lifting the ban on pit bulls please email the Sioux City Council members and tell them to vote to repeal the ban. Click on the link below to send your email…it only takes a minute to send them a few words telling them where you stand. If you have already contacted them please do so again. We also need a strong presence at the next City Council meetings. Please join us at City Hall 5th Floor 405 6th Street at 4:00 Monday\, November 4th as a show of support.
