DESCRIPTION:Step right up and join the Siouxland Humane Society for the 24th annual “Pets on Parade” fundraiser! The event runs from 10am-1pm at Riverside park\, shelter 6. This family-friendly event promises a day filled with food\, fun\, and an array of pets to adore. You’ll find various vendors showcasing their products\, adding to the festive atmosphere. Plus\, if you’re looking to expand your family\, pets will be available for adoption\, offering a chance to give a loving home to a furry friend in need. Don’t have a pet? That’s ok\, you are still welcome! \nPets on Parade is an important event for the Siouxland Humane Society as it raises funds for all the amazing things we do here at the shelter! You can raise money alone\, or you can get a group together and raise together as a “Dog Pack” We have some awesome prizes to give away for the people putting their best foot forward and raising money for us. Every person who raises over $300 will be entered into a raffle to win a big prize! After the walk\, stick around for food trucks\, pet contests\, entertainment\, a kids and pet zone and vendor booths! \nEvent registration is available HERE\, which is an easy way for you to secure your spot and start raising money! Volunteers are the heart of our shelter\, giving their time\, compassion\, and love to animals who are waiting for a family to call their own. \nA volunteer’s impact goes far beyond walking a dog or cuddling a cat. They help scared animals build trust\, provide comfort to those who are lonely\, and give energetic pets the exercise and enrichment they need to thrive. Every gentle pat\, kind word\, and game of fetch helps prepare an animal for life in a forever home. \nThis orientation is for our In-Shelter Animal Care such as walking dogs\, socialization of cats or bathing and grooming animals.
