Even if you are not able to adopt from us, you can still make a difference through our Sponsor a Pet program. Your donation will help a pet while here at the Shelter. This is an exciting and rewarding way to watch your donation in action.
You can choose to have your donation help cover vet expenses for sick or injured shelter pets, spay/neuter surgery or part of the adoption fee on a specific pet. Pets that may qualify for reduced adoptions fees include those that are harder to place, such as pets with medical conditions, unaltered, or who have had a longer stay at the shelter. By sponsoring a pet, you are spotlighting a pet in need and allowing adopters to put their money toward future medical bills, obedience training or other pet care.
The Siouxland Humane Society will recognize your sponsorship by placing a sign on the dog or cat’s kennel, and by listing your name and donation in our quarterly newsletter. A picture and description of the pet, along with your sponsorship information will also be listed on our website and on Petfinder.
You can Sponsor a Pet in memory of or in honor of someone special as well. Sponsorships make great gifts for any animal lover. We will send the recipient you specify notification of your donation and their name will be included on the sign on the pet’s kennel.
