The time spent with our pets is full of memories and unselfish love. Sharing our life with and caring for our animal family members brings heartfelt purpose, joy and deep fulfillment. Because of the love shared between our pets and ourselves, the inevitability and reality of saying goodbye to that special pet is very painful.
We realize there comes a time when the quality of your pet’s life is no longer what it should be. You will be faced with the difficult decision to put your family pet to sleep. Please call on us; we are here to help by providing a variety of compassionate services to help you through this process.
CREMATION
One way many people lovingly remember their pet is by a respectful cremation. The Siouxland Humane Society offers several cremation options. We treat your pets with the utmost respect because that’s the way we would want our own pets to be treated. You can count on a high level of accountability when you entrust your pet to the Siouxland Humane Society.

PET LOSS SUPPORT
The death of a pet can be one of the most difficult times in the life of the loving human companion. We understand this. If you are anticipating the loss of a pet or wish to talk with someone about the loss of a pet, the Pet Loss Support Program can help. We have pet loss support packets here at the Shelter or one may be sent to you. If you wish to talk to someone about the loss of your pet a trained volunteer facilitator is also available.
